Editorial policy
Open Champion Stories aims to make its accounts of achievement clear, fair and careful. We separate what can be established from interpretation, and make room for correction when something is wrong.
Accuracy and context
We check names, dates, quotations and other factual details against the material available to us, and give readers enough context to understand a claim. Where information is uncertain or accounts differ, we say so rather than smoothing over the gap.
Independence and conflicts
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not to secure favourable coverage. Contributors should disclose relevant interests to the editor. Payment, gifts or other arrangements do not guarantee coverage or a particular conclusion.
Corrections
If you spot an error, contact us with the article title, the detail in question and any helpful supporting information. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted; substantial changes are identified in the article.
Partners and illustrations
Paid, sponsored or partner material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Illustrations may be AI-generated; when that is relevant to how an image should be read, we identify it as such.
